Motion Pacific Dance will showcase pieces from their current Youth/Teens classes as well as many Adult classes and special guest dance artists from the community. This is a jam packed fun and fabulous family event.
INFORMATION FOR FAMILIES (IMPORTANT)
Below is a lengthy email about Recital/ Dress Rehearsal details. It is very important that you read in it’s entirety.
As a reminder, please do not forget to pay your child’s participation fee BEFORE MAY 10th. This lets us know your child is participating. We are including a link here and more details about it below.

Recital- Costume Requirements
We have posted all recital costume requirements for each class . You can access them on this linked document. Please do not hesitate to reach out to teachers or staff with any questions. At this point, you should already have your costumes. If you do not, please be sure to have those costumes no later than next week.
Costume Week (NEXT WEEK!) – We ask that all students bring their costumes (and a change of clothes) to their classes throughout the last week of April (April 29-May 4th.) This is to ensure functionality and comfortability for the students before the performance and to give enough time to exchange anything you might need.

Dress Rehearsal is Friday, May 17th at the Civic Auditorium. Complete schedule below. All students should arrive in their first costume 15 minutes before their first rehearsal. All students are required to attend EXCEPT all Little Movers, Creative Movement (3-5 yrs). They will be rehearsing the day of. Please plan on picking up your child 20 minutes after the start of their last rehearsal.

Participation Fee Reminder
Each participating dancer will pay a participation fee of $30-$100 based on the households financial capacity (no questions asked). In turn, this would be a non-ticketed event and all of your family and friends would be welcome at no additional charge.
Please be sure to pay your child’s participation fee no later than May 10th. So we know your child is participating. You may pay:
1- In person at Motion Pacific
2- By phone during office hours. (831) 457-1616

Call time will be 11:45am for all dancers EXCEPT Little Movers (3-5 yrs) and Young Movers (5-8 yrs). These dancers are asked to be at the theater at 1:00pm in full costume with hair and make-up done. A full show order will be available May 10th.
When arriving at the Civic Auditorium, please come to the parking lot side of the building to sign-in your child. We will have a great group of adult dancers as well as instructors backstage to assist the younger ones in quick changes, supervision etc. We are asking that there are NO parents backstage except designated volunteers.
All dancers Little Movers classes, will perform in the first half and should be picked up at the parking lot door during intermission. They are welcome to sit with you through the remainder of the show. Please, DO NOT cut through the auditorium to pick up at intermission. Please go around to the outside door where they were dropped off. This will keep things running as smoothly as possible.
Dancers that are finished performing after the first half (most kids 5-14 yrs) but are not required to be picked up at intermission will stay and watch the remainder of the show from a section of the auditorium. This space will be supervised. Those students will then participate in our final bow. When the show is finished older kids should be picked up by their parents at the parking lot door as well.
Note: Please pack your child a light lunch and water. No soda or juice please. Please pack only non-staining food. Keeping in mind they will likely be in costume.
Seeking parent volunteers for the following:
-Two volunteers to check-in kids pre-show between 11:15am-1:30
-six volunteers to stand at the exits for fire security (laws) between 1:00-2:00pm.
-Two volunteers to hand out programs.
